Our monthly Zoom sessions will allow teachers to collaborate and share ideas, resources, strategies and successes. You will meet and share with colleagues across school authorities to navigate the future uncharted landscape of learning with COVID safety measures in mind.
Whether you are an experienced teacher or a first year teacher, come and join in on the conversations.
Darren Majeranis currently in his 15th year as a teacher. He started his career in Taber, Alberta, where he taught Physical Education and Social Studies. He also coached the WR Myers football team. After four year in Taber, Darren moved to Arizona where he attended Arizona State University in pursuit of a Master's degree in Physical Educatioin. In 2009, he completed his Master's program and returned to Taber where he taught Physical Education, coached basketball and was the Athletic Director at DA Ferguson Middle School. In 2011, Darren began teaching in the Physical Education and Knowledge and Employability departments at LCI in Lethbridge, roles he continues to have at the present time. He has been the head coach of the LCI football team since 2011. Ram Pride.
Outside of school, Darren loves to be a part of whatever activities his three sons are interested in. He spends much of his "spare" time freezing in the hockey rinks of Southern Alberta, coaching baseball in the Lethbridge wind, and watching in amazement as his sons skate at the local skate parks. Life is good .
Darren believes in physical activity and what it can do for students (and everyone for that matter). He is excited to collaborate with other Physical Educators as we move forward during this unique time.
Cody Magnesonis currently a Physical Educator and Athletic Director at Eckville Jr. Sr. High. His current teaching assignment includes all the Jr. and Sr High Physical Education classes along with CTS Sport Performance.
After the bells Cody's time is occupied by his family and coaching co-curricular activities. He has coached Sr. boys volleyball for the past 9 years, Sr. girls basketball for the past 10 years, Track and Field for the past 10 years and many other activities. He is also part of the Alberta Schools Athletic Association executive, serving as Director of Athletics.
Cody is excited to collaborate with other Physical Educators so they can continue to create positive experiences for youth.
