Krystal proudly serves as Executive Director for the Calgary Regional Consortium.  With a passion that drives responsive professional learning for the Calgary and area education community, Krystal guides the actions of the CRC according to 3 Key Mindsets and 3 Core Values:

Wanda Dechant Image

Wanda supports the education community in the areas of k-12 math and numeracy. 

She is also partnering with Donna Ross to support learning around Indigenous Education.

Three critical aspects of learning that Wanda embeds into her work include:

  • Increasing student (and teacher) self-confidence in math
  • Students engaging in visible learning and thinking with their peers
  • The weaving of conceptual understanding, procedural fluency and adaptive reasoning
Kim Tackaberry Image

Kim’s goal is to creatively co-design professional learning related to everything literacy and inclusive education.

  • Building in choice and voice to tap into educator’s learning preference, as a means to promote engagement
  • Connecting and collaborating with post-secondary experts to embed the most current research in the field

Cheryl’s supports will engage learning in your community for students, teachers, leaders and parents.  Collaboratively and creatively, we can:

  • Use thinking routines and concepts to engage learners and develop competencies
  • Activate learning experiences that move skills and knowledge to deeper understandings
  • Embed technology within learner centered pedagogy
Jodi Taylor Image

Jodi brings the belief to all the work she engages in that there is no one size fits all when it comes to learning.  Supporting literacy and inclusive education, Jodi strives to:

  • Inspire a love of literacy for all students
  • Embrace diversity in the learning profiles and personalities of the teachers she works with and the students they support
  • Make collaborations with educators practical and classroom focused by inviting conversations that make thinking visible, and strategies that allow entry points and opportunities for growth for every learner

Mary is the Program Assistant for the Calgary Regional Consortium.  Her primary area of responsibility is to support the implementation of learning programs.

Shannon Whalen Image

Shannon is the Executive Assistant for the Calgary Regional Consortium. Primary areas of responsibility include: marketing, event management, website management and office administration.

Christina Somerville is the Registration Coordinator for the Calgary Regional Consortium. Areas of responsibility include: participant communication, marketing, and data management.
